Alrighty boys, and girls, I have been a huge SLACKER in the whole, BLOG dept, but here it goes....
I will start off with the latest of my adventures that started at the beginning of summer vacation. On June 9th we brought home four very tiny and adorable baby chicks!! The hubster wasn't too keen on the idea at first, but he is now a believer. HA!! The kids were so very excited and helped get everything all set up and ready for our newest family members. We named the little puff balls after characters from the Anne of Green Gables book series. Since both of my girls performed in the local theater production of Anne of Green Gables, we just thought it was fitting to carry on the names of the characters they played. We even painted the coop like Green Gables. :D And just so you know, the "Ladies of Green Gables" are doing quite well and are happy as can be. My youngest carries one of the chickens around EVERYWHERE just like a doll!! So far, aside from the cost of food...it's been a great source of FREE entertainment. Can't wait to start collecting eggs this September. YUMO! In other news, as you know, I have previously posted on my blog about this site called Spoonflower. I am happy to announce that I have now officially uploaded over 40 fabric designs since the purchase of my first swatch sample. 10+ designs are now up for sale and eventually I plan on adding more in due time. My kids have also joined me by adding some of their artistic creation to the collections as well. My middle daughter recently entered one of their fabric design contest in June. She was one of 138 kids from all over that had entered. We are now the proud owners of a new BAMBOO tablet by Watcom. And her fabric is now available for sale on the Spoonflower site! :D Thank you Zoe for your winning design and thank you Spoonflower for giving her the chance to show the world her artistic flare!! (CLick here to read their blog) Once again Lisa Noreen and I teamed up to design a logo for a local company getting ready to open it's doors out in the Springdale/Corbett area! What is especially exciting about this new business is that it will help all of us feed our addiction to the most beloved beverage in the world!! Yep, Liz's Coffee Cabin will be ready and waiting to make you your most precious and most favoritest coffee drink! Whether you're on way to work or coming back from the school after dropping off your kiddos...they will be there, just for you! :D YUM YUM!!! (be sure to click on the link above to become a fan on Facebook!) As we all know, school will be starting in a couple of weeks which means I will again start up my sewing machine as the cooler weather begins to settle in. I have a ton of wool sweaters that need repurposing so be sure to check my Esty site over the next few months for new items!! Although I hate to see summer go....espcially since it took SOOO LONG for it to finally get here, I am looking forward to the future and all the good things that are coming our way!! I also want to thank ALL of my friends for the love and support I have received over the past few years...you are loved and appreciated more than you will ever know!! :D Hope you are all having a wonderful summer! ALOHA & MAHALO ~B~
